About me

My name is Ricky Hilhorst, 23 years old. Over the past few years I have worked at several professional stables as a rider. During this time I dealt with many different types of horses, from horses who had not been ridden yet, to experienced professional sports horses.  

While doing this, I realised that training and breaking horses was something I very much loved, mainly because the true character of a horse is still there during training.

Every horse is different in character, that is why I do not have a set way of training. The fun part of this is that this is ensuring me to come up with a very creative way, different for each horse, to reach the optimal results. Even after training and breaking so many young horses, it still remains to be a great and fun challenge time after time.

During my education I started teaching more, teaching gives me lots of inspiration every single time and makes me realise every rider and every horse is different.
